As an intern i performed these duties: Marketing of MoB’s products namely loans, advisory and insurance through individual marketing to employees and employers of various organizations and schools as well as handing out fliers and pamphlets Assisting the advisory department in matters such as company registration and tax clearances Assessing clients’ financial status and assisting in debt collection procedures Handling the reception area whenever the need arose

My duties as a bookkeeper included: Preparing books of accounts for clients from source documents to trial balance stage using the Pastel Accounting Package Maintaining filling system of files and records Capturing monthly payroll data using the Belina Payroll System Preparing draft annual financial statements in accordance with international financial reporting standards and the companies act for clients Evaluating the propriety of accounting policies followed by clients Preparing a cash flow and profit forecasts for clients Preparation of tax schedules in accordance with tax statutes Using the e-filling platform to capture tax returns online and following up on assessments with the Tax Department
